Marjorie M. (Metta) Leivi

Marjorie (Metta) Leivi of Roslindale, passed away on May 7, 2024. She was 86 years old.

Born in Boston, Marjorie was a life-long parishioner of Our Lady of the Annunciation Melkite Cathedral. A woman of great faith, she sang in the choir and volunteered preparing meals for the homeless. Marjorie was playful with a fantastic sense of humor and enjoyed day trips with senior groups and playing cards with her sisters. She was compassionate with an open heart and a contagious smile.

Marjorie took great pride in her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and her greatest joy was spending time after school with her grandchildren. She was incredibly loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.

Marjorie was the loving mother of Stephen Leivi and his wife Kim Chaplain of Dedham and Michelle Brennan of Westwood and Plymouth. Cherished grandmother, “Sitho,” of Rachel Utecht and her husband James, Mark DioGuardi-Leivi, Katherine Brennan, and Elizabeth Brennan. Great-grandmother of Kaiyah and Mason Utecht. Dear sister of Joan Bukuras of Milton, Doris Mourad of Norwood and the late Albert Metta. Dear sister-in-law of Adele Metta of Walpole. She is also survived by many cherished nieces and nephews.

Marjorie’s Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of the Annunciation Melkite Cathedral 7 VFW Parkway, WEST ROXBURY. Visitation in the Cathedral Monday, May 13, 2024 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited attend.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Marjorie’s memory may be made to the Cathedral, or to the Alzheimers Association (www.alz.org).

Marjorie will be laid to rest at Mt. Benedict Cemetery in West Roxbury.
