Mark Harold Barter

Mark H. Barter, of Raynham, formerly of Randolph and Roslindale, passed away on September 28, 2022. He was 56 years old.

Born and raised in Boston, Mark owned and operated Glass Plus Inc. in Mattapan for over 30 years. He was an incredibly hard worker who always took care of everybody. Mark was known for hosting his epic 4th of July parties. An excellent cook, he would often be found manning the grill. Mark enjoyed bike rides with his daughter Annie and traveling, taking his family to New Hampshire for summer trips, and also more exotic destinations such as Jamaica and Hawaii. He enjoyed his Saturday night card games with family and friends. Mark’s service dog, Barron, was incredibly special to him. Above all else, Mark was happiest surrounded by his loving family and playing with his beloved granddaughter, Jaina.

Mark was the dear and devoted husband of Darlene Smith. Loving father of Annie Barter of Raynham and Michelle Westgate and her husband Tom of Taunton. Cherished grandfather, “Gitto,” of Jaina. Dear brother of Arlene Donovan and her husband Thomas of Raynham. Dear step brother of Jacqueline and Patrick, Beverly and Mike, and Tracy. Dear uncle of Jimmy and Carolyn Donovan. Loving son of the late Martin Barter and Matilda (Zarthar) Egan. Dear step son of Michael Egan. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Mark’s Funeral Services will be private. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a celebration of Mark’s life to be held on Friday October 7 from 1 - 5 p.m. at Raynham American Legion located at 291 Mill St. Raynham MA 02767.
