Mary (Murad) Mahanna

Mary Mahanna, of Boston’s South Cove, passed away on June 20, 2020. She was 88 years old.

Born and raised in the South Cove, Mary lived in the same home she was born in for her entire life. She loved to garden, and was extremely proud of her roses. Mary loved exercising and going to the gym. Above all else, she was happiest surrounded by her loving family.

Mary was the wife of the late Russell Mahanna. Loving mother of Janet Shiels and her husband Robert of Braintree, Jean Marie Mahanna of Whitman, Thomas Mahanna and his wife Sharon of Revere and Paul Mahanna and his wife Siu of Quincy. Cherished grandmother “Sittoo” of Katherine O’Connell and her husband Daniel "Jake," Jessica Yodzio, Russell Yodzio and his wife Jessica. Great grandmother of Charlotte, Dominik and Arianna. Loving twin sister of James Murad and the late Abraham, Joseph, Thomas, Robert, and Fred Murad. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Mary will be laid to rest at Mt. Benedict Cemetery in West Roxbury, following a private funeral service.
