Mary Maloof

Mary Maloof, a life-long resident of Boston's South End, passed away peacefully at her home on March 31, 2012. She was 91 years old. Mary worked for many years as an executive secretary for a successful architecture firm. She enjoyed Spencer Tracy and Frank Sinatra and adored her cat Oliver. She was a fantastic cook who made "the best grape leaves in the city." Mary was the loving mother of Eileen Zannino and her boyfriend Asher Brauner of Los Angeles, CA and the late Isabelle Zannino. She was the cherished grandmother, "D.R." of Joel Zannino of Boston. Dear sister of the late Mabel Bertini, Agnes Samaha, Madeline Moses, Rosie Romanus, Eileen Romanus and Gladys Jacobs. Mary's Funeral Mass was celebrated April 4, 2012 at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross in Boston. Please make contributions in Mary's memory to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute 450 Brookline Ave. Boston, MA 02215. Interment at Mt. Benedict Cemetery in West Roxbury.
