Maryann Hamwey

Maryann (Zahka) Hamwey of West Roxbury passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on July 11, 2009. She was the dear and devoted wife of the late Edward Hamwey. Loving mother of Stephen Hamwey and his wife Louise of Walpole, Raymond Hamwey and his wife Sheila of Needham, and Dianne Matta of Dedham. Dear grandmother “Tete Mae” of 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Beloved sister of Arlene Haddad of Natick, Gladys Homsi of Arlington, Barbara Hamwey of Billerica, and the late Robert Zahka. Also survived by several loving nieces and nephews. Maryann's Funeral Service was held Wednesday July 15, 2009 at at the Church of St. John of Damascus in Dedham. Contributions in Maryann’s memory may be made to the Church or to Stanley R. Tippett Home 920 South St. Needham, MA 02492. Interment Fairview Cemetery.
