Obituary

Megan Joy Collins of Norwood, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, following a courageous four-year battle with osteosarcoma. She was 16 years old.

Megan’s family is deeply grateful for the compassionate care she received from the wonderful staff at the Jimmy Fund Clinic, Boston Children’s Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital.

Born in Newton, MA, on April 21, 2010, Megan was the beloved daughter of Tim and Rayhme (Cleary) Collins and cherished sister of Casey Collins. She was the loving granddaughter of James and the late Johanna Collins of Middletown, RI, and Paul and Rayhme Cleary of North Falmouth, MA. In addition to her parents, sister, and grandparents, she leaves behind many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.

Megan was a junior at Norwood High School and truly enjoyed her time at school, especially being with her friends. She always prioritized living life as normally as possible despite the countless medical treatments she endured. She lived life on her own terms and made sure to embrace moments of joy, even through the hardest times. She was surrounded by love throughout her life and had a quiet confidence beyond her 16 years. Her strength and positivity were unshakeable.

Megan’s sense of humor, zest for life, and joyful spirit will be deeply missed and forever cherished by those who loved her.

Megan's Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, November 2, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Timothy Catholic Church, 650 Nichols St. In Norwood.
