Mildred M. "Dimpie" (Amaru) Hamaty

Mildred “Dimpie” (Amaru) Hamaty, of Hingham and Punta Gorda, FL passed away on February 8, 2017.  She was 82 years old.

Dimpie was the dear and devoted wife of the late Rev. Archdeacon Elias Hamaty. Loving mother of Richard Hamaty and his wife Rhoda of Hingham, Deborah M. Hamaty Galambos and her husband Daniel of Hingham and the late David and Stephen Hamaty. Loving Nana of Susan O’Toole, Richard Hamaty, and Adam, David and Stephen Galambos. Loving great-grandmother of Sofia, Joseph, Sasha, Nadia, Aria and Cayden. Dear sister of Joan DeCola and her husband Joseph of Scituate, and the late Rose Stanton and Anita "Pearl" Amaru. Also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.

Her Funeral Service will be held Tuesday February 14, 2017 at 10 a.m. at St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church 55 Emmonsdale Rd. West Roxbury. Visiting hours in the Church Monday 4-8 pm. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mildred’s memory may be made to the Church.

She will be laid to rest with her beloved Ely and David at St. Paul’s Cemetery in Hingham.
