Miriam Therese Dever

Miriam Therese Dever, of West Roxbury, passed away on July 12, 2016. She was 68 years old.

Miriam earned her Bachelor's Degree from Manhattanville College, and later earned her Master's Degree in English from the University of Virginia. She worked as an English teacher before establishing and operating Dever Financial Services in Boston for many years. Miriam enjoyed spending time with family and had a very special relationship with her great-nieces and great nephews.

Miriam was the beloved daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret Dever. Dear sister of Monica Van Buskirk and her husband Richard of FL, Elizabeth Adamek and her husband Louis Michael of IL, Dr. Gregory J. Dever and his wife Martha of Palau, and the late Catherine Dever Francis. She is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews: David Dever & Bichlan Do-Dever and their daughter Sarah Aina Dever; Joshua Dever & Celinna Pascual-Dever and their son Tristan Dever; Leleng Dever and her children Ymesei Dever and Umdad Miriam Dever; Jessica E. Jefferis & Toby Jefferis and their sons Casey, Colin and Gavin Jefferis; Kristen Hjorth & Bill Hjorth and their son William Hjorth; Gabrielle Slater; Gerard Dever & Candice Fox Dever and their daughter Shanice Dever.

Miriam's Funeral Service was held July 18, 2016 at the Kfoury Keefe Funeral Home.

MIriam was laid to rest at Mt. Benedict Cemetery in West Roxbury.
