Myrna Alice (Easa) Brasie

July 12, 1937 — December 16, 2022

Mryna A. (Easa) Brasie, of Brighton, formerly of West Roxbury and Washington DC, passed away on December 16 2022. She was 85 years old.

Myrna was born July 12, 1937 into the St. George Orthodox Church community where her father Kay and mother, Alice Easa attended. She attended Roslindale High School and graduated from a post graduate program of Business Administration.

Professionally, Myrna Easa Brasie began her Washington, DC career on the staff of Admiral Hyman Rickover, the father of the US Navy nuclear submarine. She was next recruited to be Manager of Special Projects for the Washington Board of Trade, the Chamber of Commerce for Washinton, DC business and retail community. She directed the Political Action Committee which earmarked contributions to political candidates in municipal elections and organized special events for 2,000 guests.

Some 42 years ago she married Richard E. Brasie, of Washington, DC, a US government agency media relations director and former network Capitol Hill news correspondent. Myrna is the Loving step mother of Stewert Brasie, Rebecca Anders and her husband Scott, Tana Nalley and her husband Richard and Quentin Brasie and his wife Yham. Cherished grandmother of 22. Dear sister of Michel Easa and his wife Evelyn, and Judith Hawkins and her husband Paul, as well as several loving nieces and nephews.

Myrna’s Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at 11 a.m. at St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church, 55 Emmonsdale Rd. WEST ROXBURY. Visitation in the Church beginning at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Myrna’s memory may be made to the Church or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105 (stjude.org).

Myrna will be laid to rest at The Gardens Cemetery in West Roxbury.
