Najla Saba

Najla Saba, of Arlington, passed away on February 10, 2010. She was 91 years old. Born in Boston, Najla grew up in the South End and attended Boston schools. She worked for over 40 years as a seamstress at Silin Manufacturing in Boston. Najla was a life-long parishioner of St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church and was a former recording secretary of the adult fellowship. She enjoyed spending time with her family and quilting. Najla was also an excellent cook, who taught many family members and was known for her delicious sfeeha. Najla was the loving daughter of the late Talje (Nassif) and Tofic Saba. Dear sister of Marsha Williams of Arlington and the late Ramsa Sadnawey and Joseph Saba. Cherished aunt of Elizabeth Douglas of Boxboro, Mary Williams of Arlington and the late Joanne Lacreta and Robert Williams. She is also survived by many loving great-nieces and great-nephews. Najla's Funeral Service was held Saturday, February 13, 2010 at St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church 55 Emmonsdale Rd. WEST ROXBURY. Please make contributions in Najla’s memory to the Church. Interment Mt. Benedict Cemetery in West Roxbury.
