Obituary

Richard F. “Buddy” Dearborn of Dedham formerly of West Roxbury passed away on May 31, 2026. He was 83 years old.

Buddy was the proprietor of Global Automotive in Roslindale since 1978. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and was an avid hunter. He loved to golf, and if you missed a tee time with him, you weren’t invited back. He could be a man of few words, but when he spoke, people listened. An avid fan of Boston sports, Buddy was incredibly loyal and everything he did, he did it 100%.

He was a perfectionist who made sure he always had the nicest lawn in the neighborhood. Buddy was an incredibly hard worker and knew how to fix anything. He enjoyed music and cars, especially his corvette. Buddy was incredibly proud of his children and above all else, he enjoyed spending time with his family, for whom he was the ultimate provider.

Buddy was the dear and devoted husband of Linda (Yahoub) Dearborn. Loving father of Karryn Lewis and her husband Brian of Mashpee, Richard Dearborn and his wife Pam of Arizona, Kim Dearborn and her significant other James Miskel of Taunton, and Keith Dearborn and his significant other Yohanna Sangiovanni. Cherished grandfather, “Pop Pop,” of Joseph “Bud” Dearborn and Jack Dearborn. Dear brother of the late Robert Dearborn. Loving brother-in-law of Nancy Wildes, Thomas and Debbie Yahoub, Margie and Bill Alley, Carol Yahoub, Ernest Yahoub, James Makhlouf, and the late Daniel Maklouf Yahoub. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews and will be deeply missed by Lucy and Leto Lewis and Isiah and Isabelle Sangiovanni.

Funeral Prayers will be said for Buddy on Thursday, June 4, 2026 at 1 p.m. at the Kfoury Keefe Funeral Home 8 Spring St. (at the corner of Centre St.) in West Roxbury. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Buddy’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 (www.stjude.org).
