Richard "Dick" F. Murphy Iii

Richard F. “Dick” Murphy III, of Salem, NH, passed away January 29, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. He was 74 years old.

Born in Boston, Dick was a proud US Army of the Vietnam War and a recipient of the Bronze Star for Heroic Achievement.  He was the founder of Industrial Protection Products Inc. and Industrial Protection Services LLC of Wilmington.

Dick was the dear and devoted husband of Ellen (Kfoury).  Loving father of Richard F. Murphy IV and his wife MaryBeth of Salem, NH, Kelly A. Rogers of Salem, NH and Kevin E. Murphy and his wife Anne-Marie of Windham, NH. Cherished “Grampa” of 11 grandchildren.  Dear brother of Lois Murphy of Harwich, Patricia Hall of FL, Robert Murphy of Merrimack, NH and the late Constance Collette.  He is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.

Dick's funeral will be from the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St. METHUEN, Friday at 10 a.m.  Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. at St. Monica’s Church. Visiting hours will be held Thursday 4-8 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Dick’s memory may be made to Merrimack Valley Hospice, 360 Merrimack St. Bldg. 9 Lawrence, MA 01843 (homehealthfoundation.org).  Interment will be private.
