Roberta J. Maloof, of Somerville passed away on November 17, 2022.
Roberta was happiest when surrounded by her large, loving family. She was also a longtime active parishioner at the Church of St. John of Damascus, serving as a Sunday School teacher for many years. Roberta was also devoted to veterans' organizations. She and her late husband Charles were frequent visitors and volunteers at the Jamaica Plain V.A. Hospital, as well as the nearby Huntington House.
Roberta was the dear and devoted wife of the late Charles E. Maloof. Beloved mother of Leon Maloof and his wife Diane of Maine, Joseph Maloof and his wife Julie of Woburn, Laurice Perlman and her husband Adam of Florida, Valerie Liberty of Woburn, Teresa O'Connell and her husband Michael of Virginia, and the late Elaine Saad. Mother-in-law of Elias Saad of California and the late Thomas Liberty. Dear "Dita" of 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Roberta's family is grateful to the staff of Academy Manor in Andover for their loving and devoted care.
Roberta's Funeral Service will be held Saturday November 26, 2022 at 11 a.m. in the Church of St. John of Damascus 300 West St. Dedham. Visiting hours in the Church Saturday beginning at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in Roberta's memory to the Church or to the Wounded Warriors Project. Please see links below under DONATIONS.
Roberta will be laid to rest with her beloved Charles at Fairview Cemetery in Hyde Park.
