Rose A. Beram

November 10, 1910 — April 12, 2010

Rose (Zammar) Beram of Westborough, formerly of West Roxbury and Dedham, passed away April 12, 2010 at the age of 99. Rose was born in Boston in 1910, one of 9 daughters of Elian and Selma (Hamod) Zammar. Following her graduation from high school she worked at R.H. Stearns in their accounting office. Rose would go on to work for many years in the Payroll department of the Brinks Company, while raising her 3 sons. Upon retiring, Rose and her husband traveled extensively to many parts of the world, including South America, Europe, and Northern Africa. Rose was the dear and devoted wife of the late Joseph Beram. Loving mother of George Beram of Cambridge, Alfred Beram of FL, and Nicholas Beram of ME. Rose is also survived by her 10 grandchildren, 16 great- grandchildren, niece Lillian Hamaty of West Roxbury, as well as several other nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her 8 sisters. Rose's Funeral Service was held April 16, 2010 in the Church of St. John of Damascus, 300 West St. DEDHAM. Contributions in Rose’s memory may be made to the Church or to the N.G. Beram Veterans Assoc. c/o 28 Pelican Dr. Walpole, MA 02081. Interment Fairview Cemetery, Hyde Park.
