Rose M. Garaffo

Rose (Nardone) Garaffo of Allston, passed away on January 13, 2009. She was 84 years old. Born in Boston in 1924, Rose owned and operated Rose's Beauty Shop in Allston for nearly 40 years. Rose was the dear and devoted wife of the late Guy Garaffo. Loving mother of Richard and his wife Ellen of Westwood, Robert and his wife Michelle of VA, George and his wife Patricia of Westwood, James and his wife Melinda of CA, and Thomas and his wife Theresa of Stoneham. Cherished grandmother "Noni" of 10 grandchildren. Dear sister of Alexandra “Sundee” DeFazio of Briantree and the late Nicholas Nardone, Alfred Nardone, and Saverio Nardone. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Rose's Funeral will be from the Kfoury Keefe Funeral Home 8 Spring St. (at the corner of Centre St.) WEST ROXBURY Friday at 7:45 a.m. followed by the Funeral Mass at St. Anthony Church, Allston at 9 a.m. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Attendant parking available. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Rose’s memory may be made to Deutsches Altenheim 2222 Centre St. West Roxbury, MA 02132. Interment Mt. Benedict Cemetery.
