Rose (Eouse) Saltzman

Rose (Eouse) Saltzman of West Roxbury passed away on December 1, 2024. She was 91 years old.

Born and raised in Boston’s South End, and later Brookline, Rose had an eye for fashion from a very young age. She helped coordinate fashion shows while she was in high school and right up until her passing, never left the house without being dressed to the nines with her hair perfect and nails done. She was married to the love of her life, Ira, for 53 years until his passing in 2020. Together they loved to travel and take cruises and spent summers at Onset beach. Rose was fiercely independent and enjoyed shopping and purchasing the occasional scratch ticket. Above all else, Rose was happiest surrounded by family, especially her grandchildren who were her pride and joy.

Rose was the dear and devoted wife of the late Ira Saltzman. Loving mother of Wanda Johnson and her husband James of West Roxbury. Cherished grandmother, “Tete,” of James Johnson Jr. and Ava Rose Johnson. Dear sister of the late Anthony Eouse Jr., George Eouse, Mitchell Eouse, Emily Schroeder, Jeanette Boudreau and Lila Eouse. She is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.

Rose’s Funeral Service will be held Friday, December 6, 2024 at 10 a.m. at The Church of St. John of Damascus, 300 West St. Dedham. Visitation in the Church beginning at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.

Rose will be laid to rest with her beloved Ira at Fairview Cemetery in Hyde Park.
