Salwa "Sally" (Saad) Hajar, of Norwood formerly of West Roxbury, passed away on July 29, 2014. She was 95 years old. An avid cook of Arabic food, Sally was happiest spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed playing cards and doing crossword puzzles and absolutely adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Sally was the dear and devoted wife of the late Emile H. Hajar. Loving mother of Paul Hajar of Norwood and his late wife Linda (Richardson), Paula Hajar of New York, and Marilyn Hajar and her husband Tom Neubauer of Longmeadow. Cherished grandmother, “Sittoo” of Jennifer Naughton, Christine Chastanet, Laura Hajar, Emily Neubauer Sugar, Marianna Neubauer, Emilio Hajar, Josue Hajar and 7 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of the late Theodore Saad, Elaine Patsos and Mona Hadge. Dear sister-in-law of Emily Hajar of Norwood. She is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews. Sally's Funeral Service will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of the Annunciation Melkite Cathedral. Visiting hours Friday 4-7 p.m. at the Kfoury Keefe Funeral Home 8 Spring St. (at the corner of Centre St.) WEST ROXBURY. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Attendant parking available. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Sally’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital Attn: Linda R. Hajar Family Resource Center, Code MMLH, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105-1942. Sally will be laid to rest with her beloved Emile at Mt. Benedict Cemetery.
