Sandra E. (Dabrowski) Stanewick

Sandra E. (Dabrowski) Stanewick, of Roslindale, formerly of Easthampton, passed away on August 18, 2019, surrounded by her loving family, following a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. She was 75 years old.

Born and raised in Easthampton, MA, Sandra came to Boston to study at Simmons College, where she obtained her Bachelor’s and then Master’s Degree, both in English.  It was during these years, that she met the love of her life, Joe.

Sandra was a lover of children’s literature and taught for many years at the Hennigan School in Jamaica Plain.  She enjoyed knitting and gardening and had a treasured collection of colorful, large sweaters.   Sandra was an artist who loved oil painting and drawing, and she was happiest spending time with family, especially during their annual trips to New Harbor, ME, where they vacationed for over 30 years.

Sandra was the dear and devoted wife of Joseph Stanewick. Loving mother of Marisa Stanewick and her husband Daryl F. Veale of West Roxbury. Cherished grandmother, “Nana” of Daryl A. Veale.  Dear daughter-in-law of Ethel Stanewick of West Roxbury.

Sandra’s funeral service will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Kfoury Keefe Funeral Home, 8 Spring St. (at the corner of Centre St.) WEST ROXBURY. Visiting hours will be held Friday, 5-7 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
