Obituary

Stephen Carson of West Roxbury passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was 74 years old.

Born in Boston, Stephen was incredibly generous with his time, his love, and his support. He proudly served his country as a Specialist 4 in the United States Army in Germany from 1971-1973. He was an avid golfer and he loved to travel, highlighting Hawaii and Antigua as couple of his favorite destinations. He loved all of the Boston sports teams and enjoyed music, especially Elvis.

Stephen worked for Midas International LLC for over 37 years, retiring as a vice president. He was particularly fond of elephants, amassing a collection of small statues, photos and t shirts. Above all else, Stephen was a proud parent and grandfather and was happiest spending time with his family.

Stephen was the dear and devoted husband of Carol (Coffey) Carson. Loving father of Patty Carson-Sasso and their wife Vanessa of Plymouth, Elisabeth Sparrow and her fiancé Ray Santos of West Roxbury, and Stephen D. Carson and his fiancée Maggie Leoffler of West Roxbury. Cherished grandfather, “Papa,” of Rylan Sparrow, Colin Sparrow, Audrey Sparrow and Jack Carson. Dear brother of Patricia Donovan of Maine, Donna Lynch of Melrose, Edward Carson of Weymouth, Thomas Carson of Bridgewater and the late Roy Carson, Kenneth Carson, Richard Carson, Jack Carson and Ellen Cousley. Dear brother-in-law of Diane Sackos of California, Claire Coffey of Tennessee, Joanne Coon of Plymouth, and Dennis Coffey of Plymouth. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and friends.

Visiting Hours will be held on Friday, June 5, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the Kfoury Keefe Funeral Home 8 Spring St. (at the corner of Centre St.) West Roxbury. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
