Steven P. Rossman of Norwood, formerly of Stoughton, passed away on March 12, 2025. He was 64 years old.
Steve was an easy-going, people person. His sense of humor was dry and quiet, and he always had a one-liner, even right up to his final days. Nothing ever bothered Steve and he was a man of principle, but would certainly make his voice heard if something went against those principles, or if he thought something was unfair. He was a graduate of Southeastern Massachusetts University, (now UMass Dartmouth) where he earned a degree in finance. He made life-long friends in college and shared in many traditions, the most notable being the “Kempa Open,” which is a golf tournament carried on by his pals for 44 years. Steve won the open multiple times and only missed 2 of the tournaments in the 44 years.
Steve loved sports. Whether it was watching golf or horse racing, enjoying his favorite Boston sports teams, or coaching his kids at the hockey rink or on the baseball and softball diamonds. He enjoyed his annual trips to the races in Saratoga every summer. That family tradition started when he was a young boy, and as years went on, Steve shared those experiences with his wife and children and friends. He also loved his family summer vacations to Seagull Beach in West Yarmouth.
Steve enjoyed eating at restaurants and his favorite was Town Spa in Stoughton. He enjoyed many South Shore bar pizzas, and ranked Town Spa as the best.
Steve was happiest surrounded by friends and family, especially his children and grandchildren.
Steve was the dear and devoted husband of Karen (Wallace). Loving father of Michael Rossman and his wife Sabrina of North Attleboro, Brian Rossman and his wife Michaela of Mansfield, Jennifer Fiske and her husband Peter of North Attleboro, and beloved family friend of Stephanie Creag. Cherished grandfather, “Pop,” of Stella, Victoria, Grace, Brylee and Rory. Dear brother of Joel Rossman and his wife Michele of NC, and Mark Rossman and his wife Nancy of SC. Loving son-in-law of Phyllis Wallace. Dear brother-in-law of Peter Wallace and Viviane Van Hoolandt, Jeanna and Steven Ayoub, and Linda Wallace. He is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.
