Sylvia (Handy) Sawaya

Sylvia (Handy) Sawaya of Norwood, formerly of West Roxbury passed away on March 2, 2015. She was 86 years old.
Born and raised in Boston, Sylvia worked for many years as a bank branch manager for Norfolk County Trust and BayBank. She loved to cook and take care of her family. She was an accomplished piano player, and an avid Bingo and card player.
Sylvia was the dear and devoted wife of the late Ferris Sawaya. Loving mother of Gail McDermott and her husband Stanley of New York, Janice Sawaya Burke of Foxboro, Joseph Sawaya and his wife Debbie of Brockton. Dear grandmother "Sitho" of Anthony "A.J." Sawaya, Kristin Burke, Jennifer Amaral, and Michelle Goodwin. Also survived by 5 great-grandchildren.
Sylvia's Funeral Service was held March 6, 2015 at Our Lady of the Annunciation Melkite Cathedral, 7 VFW Parkway, WEST ROXBURY.
