Virginia Ann (Dikmak) Ash

Virginia A. (Dikmak) Ash, of Revere, passed away on July 1, 2017.  She was 88 years old.  Born in Boston, Virginia was a graduate of Boston University.  She enjoyed knitting and crocheting and was an excellent bowler.  When her children were young, they enjoyed many trips to Revere Beach with family and friends. Virginia loved to shop and she enjoyed watching her game shows, especially Jeopardy, but most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her beloved grandchildren.

Virginia was the dear and devoted wife of the late William A. Ash.  Loving mother of Susan Selbovitz and her husband Stephen of Saugus, William Ash Jr. and his wife Claudette of Wakefield, Gail Piccinni and her husband Frederick of Lynnfield and Lauren McMahon and her husband Gary of Peabody.  Cherished grandmother “Tata” of Michael, David, Cameron, Tyler, Ashley, Alexandra, Alexander and Taylor.  Dear sister of Georgette and Louise Dikmak, both of Newton.  Dear sister-in-law of George and Lorraine Ash of Revere and Adele Ash of Westborough.  She is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.

Virginia’s Funeral Service will be held Thursday, July 6, 2017 at 11 a.m. in the Church of St. John of Damascus, 300 West St. DEDHAM.  Visitation in the church beginning at 10 a.m.  Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Virginia’s memory may be made to the Church or to the American Diabetes Assoc. 260 Cochituate Rd. #200, Framingham, MA 01701.

Virginia will be laid to rest with her beloved William at Fairview Cemetery in Hyde Park.
