Yvonne K. Akie

Yvonne K. (Kouri) Akie, of Dedham, passed away on May 11, 2011. She was 89 years old. Yvonne was the dear and devoted wife of the late Edward T. Akie. Loving mother of Robert Akie and his wife Susan of Dedham, Ronald Akie and his partner David of Boston and Richard Akie and his wife Joanne of Sharon. Cherished grandmother of Thomas, William, Garrett and Geoffrey Akie. Dear sister of Michael Kouri of Boston, Evelyn Ghiz of Westwood, Mae George of Dedham, Pauline Nicholas of West Roxbury, George Kouri of Needham and the late Adele George. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. A Memorial Service was held on May 21, 2011 at the Allin Congregational Church in Dedham. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in Yvonne's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105. Interment will be private.
