Amal (Tabet) Karam, of New London, CT, passed away September 11, 2021, peacefully, surrounded by her loving family. She was 78 years old.
Born in Beirut, Lebanon, she came to the United States in 1980 with her husband and 2 young daughters. She was a fantastic cook and gardener, and she also loved to knit. Above all else, Amal was happiest surrounded by her family, especially her children and grandchildren.
Amal was the dear and devoted wife of Tanios “Tony” Karam. Loving mother of Mary Dolabany and her husband Richard of Westwood, and Jeannd’arc Haddad and her husband George of Lexington. Cherished grandmother, “Tata,” of Mya and Russell Dolabany and Marc and Ava Haddad. Dear sister of Metri Tabet of Ohio, Mary Hage of Florida, Renee Abukhalil of Lebanon, Katy Saad of Lebanon & George Tabet of Lebanon and the late Amine Tabet and Hoda Grieb. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Amal’s Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Our lady of the Annunciation Melkite Cathedral, 7 VFW Parkway, WEST ROXBURY. Visitation in the Cathedral beginning at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Masks must be worn in the Cathedral.

Amal will be laid to rest at the Gardens Cemetery in West Roxbury.
