Antoun K. “Jack” Nashawaty Jr., of Needham, formerly of West Roxbury, passed away on October 30, 2022. He was 92 years old.
Born and raised in Boston, Jack was a proud US Army Veteran of the Korean War. Jack, along with his brother Charles, owned and operated Beacon Stationery for many years. In recent years, Jack was very involved with the Needham Senior Center where he developed an amazing group of friends. He became a beloved member of that community and those people truly were a lifeline for him. Needham Senior Center truly was his passion. Jack was an incredible caregiver, fiercely loyal to his loving family and always there for his friends.
Jack was the dear and devoted husband of the late Joan (Smith). Loving father of Christen Robins and her husband Kenneth of Needham. Cherished grandfather, “Papa,” of Jill and Max Robins. Dear brother of Charles Nashawaty and his wife Lois of Millis. He is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.
Jack’s Funeral Service will be held Friday, November 4, at 10 a.m. at the Church of St. John of Damascus, 300 West St. DEDHAM. Visitation will be held in the Church beginning at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jack’s memory may be made to the Church or to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 51 Blossom St. Boston, MA 02144.
Jack will be laid to rest with his beloved Joan at St. Joseph Cemetery in West Roxbury.
