David E. Hajjar, Selectman in the Town of Norwood, passed away unexpectedly at his home on October 16, 2021. He was 64 years old.
David was the dear and devoted husband of Elaine (Haddad) Hajjar. Loving father of Jenine Salter and her husband William of East Greenwich, RI; Nicholas Hajjar and his wife Hillary of Norwood; Matthew Hajjar of Norwood; and Abraham Omar. Beloved grandfather "Giddi" of Teddy, Jackson, and Charlie. Loving brother of Denise Hajjar-Casamassima and her husband Mario of Quincy. Beloved son of the late Edward and Nellie (Sahyoun) Hajjar. Son-in-law of Helen Haddad. Nephew of Yvonne Moses. Also survived by many extended family and friends.
David's visiting hours will be held Tuesday October 19, 2021 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Our Lady of the Annunciation Melkite Cathedral 7 V.F.W. Parkway, West Roxbury. Funeral Service Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in the Cathedral. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. David will be laid to rest at Highland Cemetery in Norwood.
