Dorothy T. (Carson) Blaney

Dorothy T. (Carson) Blaney of West Roxbury passed away at her home on September 14, 2023.  She was 94 years old.

Dorothy was an avid gardener and seamstress, but was best known for her remarkable creativity and artistic talent.  She created incredibly intricate dollhouses, many inspired by the mansions of Newport, Rhode Island, with fine details such as patterned wallpaper, working electricity, and miniature crystal chandeliers.

Dorothy was the dear and devoted wife of the late William T. Blaney.  Beloved mother of Dorothy Constantino and her husband Robert, and Mary Beausoleil.  Dear grandmother “Mere” of Andrea Polinick and her husband Christopher, Robert Constantino Jr. and his wife Sofia, Aimee Beausoleil, and Kaylee Disher.  Great-grandmother of Tanner, Rylie Mae, William, Cecilia, and Domenic.  Sister of Hilda Rosenberg, Patricia Kort, and the late Allen Carson.  Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. 

Dorothy's Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday September 22, 2023 at 10 a.m. at St. John Chrysostom Church 4750 Washington St. WEST ROXBURY.  Visiting hour in the Church Friday 9-10 a.m.  Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.

Dorothy will be reunited with her beloved William at Mt. Benedict Cemetery in West Roxbury
