Ivor Jones Price of West Roxbury passed away on July 25, 2021. He was 96 years old.
Ivor was born in Brecon, Wales on January 26, 1925 to Winifred Ann Jones and Roydon Parry Price. He was a devoted brother to Megan, Brychan, Gwyon, Gethin and his twin, Owen.
Beloved father of Roydon and daughter-in-law Christine. Dear uncle of Elizabeth, Margaret, Julie, Diane, Tony, Lyn, Gareth and Sally. Dear brother-in-law of Iris. Grand uncle of Nicholas, Julian, Leone, Rhiannon, Megan and Lloyd. And loving grandfather of Emma, Kylie and Evan.
During WWII, Ivor and his brother Owen served in the British Royal Air Force as code and cypher operators in Burma and in the Control Commission in Hanover Germany after the war.
Later, the twins played professional soccer for Crystal Palace F.C. and worked in the British Post Office.
Ivor married Menna Thomas and worked as a postmaster in Zimbabwe and later as a high speed teletype operator in Santa Monica, California and New York City.
He then worked for over thirty years in Las Vegas as a stage hand in the IATSE local 720. He also performed countless shows as a juggling clown and brought joy to many audiences.
Thank you to all of the caregivers, nurses and doctors who gave such amazing companionship and care to Ivor over the past year and a half.
