Jody Ann (Janjigian) Metcalf

Jody A. (Janjigian) Metcalf, of Foxborough, passed away on February 23, 2022. She was 56 years old.

Jody was an extremely caring person and incredibly nice to everyone she met. She loved helping people and this was shown in all aspects of her life; her personal life with her interactions with family and friends, and even strangers in a store, and in her professional life where she cared for people for a living as a nurse. She worked for years in nursing homes in the greater Boston area and with hospice patients, assisting in all aspects of their care.  Prior to becoming a nurse, Jody was a hairdresser and was extremely proud of the fact that she worked so hard to become a nurse to help people and provide for her family.

Jody was an avid gardener, both flowers and vegetables, and she took a lot of pride in her garden. She loved angels and was a collector of antiques. Despite her health conditions, she encouraged people to not be afraid to chase their dreams and her goal was to instill hope in anyone she could. Her family was her world and she was happiest being surrounded by their love and maybe some onion rings and crab rangoon.

Jody was the dear and devoted wife of Michael Metcalf, Sr. Loving mother of Michael Metcalf, Jr. and Julia Metcalf of Foxborough. Loving daughter of Paul Janjigian of West Roxbury and the late Rita (Wallace). Dear sister of Dawn Janjigian of Dedham and Paul Janjigian Jr. and his wife Maryann of Dedham. She is also survived by her dear nephew Mason and her beloved cat Shrimpy.

Jody’s Funeral will be from the Kfoury Keefe Funeral Home, 8 Spring St. (at the corner of Centre St.) WEST ROXBURY, Thursday at 9 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Theresa of Avila Church at 10 a.m. Visiting hours will be held  Wednesday 5-8 p.m. masks are required, per the City of Boston. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
