Margaret A. (Ballard) Amaral

Margaret "Peggy" Amaral of West Roxbury passed away May 24, 2023.  She was 89 years old.  Peggy was a graduate of Brighton High School Class of 1951.  She served as the Associate Director of Public Relations at Boston University, as well as working as a medical assistant at Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates.

Peggy was the daughter of the late Rena (Ambrose) and William Ballard; former wife of the late Robert Amaral; mother of the late Steven Amaral; grandmother "Nana" of Christopher, Valerie and Stacey Amaral; great grandmother of Mackenzie Bulman, sister of the late John Ballard.  

Peggy's Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday June 2, 2023 at 10 a.m. at St. John Chrysostom Church 4750 Washington St. West Roxbury.  Visiting hour in the Church 9-10 a.m.  

In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in Peggy's memory to the Animal Rescue League of Boston/Dedham 55 Anna's Pl. Dedham, MA 02026 (www.arlboston.org)  

Peggy will be laid to rest with her parents and son at St. Joseph Cemetery.
