Marion (Sabbag) Haddad of Natick passed away August 12, 2020. She was 90 years old.
Marion's passion and love was her family and she was the matriarch of her family in every sense of the word. With her 4 children, 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, she was always surrounded by constant companionship, entertainment and love. She cherished watching her family grow and blossom. While always loving her children and spouses, she absolutely adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She wanted to be involved in all aspects of their lives and never hesitated to give her opinions or advice. This created a special bond, love and friendship with each of them.
Marion was very active with her church, St. John of Damascus, over the years, being a member of her parish for over 90 years. She was a proud member of St. John's Virgin Mary Society for decades and was always involved with both spiritual and social activities at the church. She made many friends at the church and loved her parish family.
Over the past 3 1/2 years, Marion had been living at Benchmark Senior Living. While at Benchmark, Marion settled in quickly and made so many friends. She loved all the other residents and staff there, and in turn, they loved and cherished her, too. She looked forward to all the social activities there, or just sitting outside or in the lobby with all her friends "people watching" or just talking about their families.
Marion touched so many people over her lifetime. When she met someone new, she wanted to know about their life and listen to what was going on with them. Unselfishly, despite all the medical issues she's had to overcome, it was never about her ... it was always caring about others.
Marion was the dear and devoted wife of 65 years of the late Mitchell Haddad. Loving mother of John Haddad and his wife Elaine of Medway, Mitchell Haddad Jr. and his wife Patricia of Natick, Linda O’Hara and her husband Michael of Bellingham and Daniel Haddad and his wife Robin of Bellingham. Beloved grandmother, “Tata” of 12 grandchildren and "Tata Mae" of 5 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of the late Elias "Louie", Russell, Antoon, and Fred Sabbag. Sister-in-law of Marjorie Haddad, Evelyn Sabbag, Vivien Sabbag, Linda Sabbag, and the late Rose Sabbag. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
