Mildred “Millie” D. Lionti, of West Roxbury, formerly of Dorchester and Roxbury, passed away, peacefully at home on December 29, 2019. She was 91 years old.
Millie was a longtime employee of the Polaroid Corporation and member of the Polaroid Bowling Team. In years passed, she was an avid traveler, along with her sister, venturing to Italy, Hawaii, Las Vegas and Disney World, just to name a few. The also had a memorable trip to Atlantic City, and when they arrived learned that the housekeeping staff at their hotel had gone on strike. Above all else, MIllie enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, and if you were a friend of Millie, she considered you family. Millie even loved her team of caregivers as if they were her own family.
Millie was the dear and devoted daughter of the late Dominick and Mary Theresa (Ortolano). Dear sister of the late Phyllis G. Lionti. Loving Godmother of Doreen Buckley of North Weymouth, Paula Grossi of South Weymouth and Helen Palmer of East Bridgewater. She is also survived by many loving cousins.
Millie's Funeral Mass will be held Friday at 9 a.m. at St. Theresa of Avila Church. Visiting Hours will be held Thursday 5-8 p.m. at the Kfoury Keefe Funeral Home, 8 Spring St. (at the corner of Centre St.) WEST ROXBURY. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. .
Millie will be laid to rest with her sister and best friend, Phyllis, at St. Michael Cemetery.
