William "Billy B." Baiona

William “Billy B.” Baiona of Roslindale, formerly of Boston’s South End, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2024. He was 93 years old.

Born and raised in Boston, Billy was a fun-loving guy and everybody’s best friend. He was the best bartender in Boston, working at the Franklin Café and the Waltham Tavern in the South End for years.

Billy was the dear and devoted husband of the late Kathleen (Waters). Loving father of Mariann Gardner of Weymouth, John Baiona of Roslindale and the late Larry Baiona. Cherished “Pa” of Jason DaSilva, Ashlyn Gardner, Taylor Gardner, Guiseppi Hock, Gennaro Hock, Tiffany Baiona, and Gina Baiona. Dear brother of the late Philip “Sonny” Baiona and Catherine Hadaya. Cherished son of the late Pasquale and Josie (Sullivan) Baiona. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Billy’s Funeral will be from the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home 1248 Washington St. NORWOOD Thursday at 9:30 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Mary Church in East Walpole at 10:30 a.m. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Billy’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.

Billy will be laid to rest at St. Joseph Cemetery in West Roxbury.
