Emily A. (Hallow) Eknoian, Of West Roxbury, formerly of Boston’s South End, passed away November 8, 2017. She was 95 years old.
Born and raised in Boston’s South End, Emily had lived in West Roxbury since 1955. She graduated with honors with an associate’s degree in business and real estate from Mass Bay Community College and was a secretary and bookkeeper for various firms before retiring in 1988. She was a life-long parishioner of Our Lady of the Annuncation Melkite Catholic Cathedral and was a member of the Lebanese-Syrian Ladies Aid Society. She was an AABA Director Emeritus, having served on the AABA Board of Directors for over 30 years. She was a Past President of the Nicholas G. Beram Ladies Auxiliary and also volunteered for the Girl Scouts for many years.
Emily was the dear and devoted wife of the late Peter M. Eknoian. Loving mother of Nancy Alton and her Husband Kurt of Worcester, and Sandra and Linda Eknoian of West Roxbury. Dear sister of the late Edward Hallow. Dear sister-in-law of Josephine Hallow of Westwood. She is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.
Emily’s Funeral Service was held Monday November 13, 2017 at Our Lady of the Annunciation Melkite Cathedral, 7 VFW Pkwy WEST ROXBURY.

Emily was laid to rest at Mt. Benedict Cemetery in West Roxbury.
